Growing up cooking here in East Texas taught me early that good food and hospitality make for great company. I started cooking and collecting recipes from an early age.
After discovering, in 2014, that Trim Healthy Mama was going to be an eating plan for those who wanted a healthier weight and one where even foodies could thrive I started tweaking and converting my 40 plus year recipe collection. This blog was founded to share these recipes and sometimes the accompanying memories of the good times, great food and wonderful people that are intertwined.
Come back often and I think you will find that this is not your average diet food, because of a commitment to cooking good tasting Southern food that satisfies the need for flavor and promotes health, while reducing dependence on the unhealthy form of fats and carbs.
All recipes conform to the Trim Healthy Mama diet plan. My relationship with my followers is based on trust that I will put the time into developing and testing a recipe until it works, everytime!
