This Dairy Free Hot Cocoa Mix will bring you the flavors of Mounds and Almond Joy candy bars and all you have to do is BOIL WATER!
If you thought a Dairy-Free Hot Cocoa Mix couldn’t be rich and flavorful as rich and flavorful as any other then this one will make a believer out of you!
Since it uses powdered coconut cream instead of traditional dairy powdered cream this THM S, Low Carb recipe is going to taste more like a Mounds or Almond Joy candy bar, which we love. So when my husband tasted this cocoa for the first time I got this from him, “Now you’ve got something here, this one is a real Winner!”
Music to my ears. <3
The wonderful cream of coconut product that is really the star of this show was referred to me by a great allergy friendly blogger, coach and blogging buddy, Tina who blogs over at Oil of Joy.com. Go check out her blog if you have food allergies and really want to do this eating plan right!
Watch for affiliate links to products I have used in these recipes when testing them and those which I can fully recommend.
The following products are ones that I used to make this recipe but you’ll find other links throughout this post for other products that I use interchangeably as well.
This mix melts right into the water smoothly after stirring but it makes my heart happy to watch the process so I thought I’d share. 😉

This Dairy Free Hot Cocoa Mix also works well with a natural sweetener called Gentle Sweet but be aware of the following when using it:
THM Gentle Sweet is so authentically sugary sweet because it contains xylitol and high-quality stevia.
BUT xylitol is dangerous to pets so if yours have access to your treats be sure and use the Xylitol Free Gentle Sweet (the taste and texture are not quite spot on for some baking uses but it’s still a great product.

If you need anything from the Trim Healthy Mama Store it would be a help to me if you could use my link and at no extra cost to you. Thanks for helping me keep producing and offering these free recipes.
The link to the coconut milk powder lists coconut SUGAR & peppermint oil in the ingredients, so I’m guessing this isn’t the right link.
Hi Donna. No, the link is fine but the verbiage is for the flavored type. If you click on the image of the back you’ll see the actual ingredients for the package.
