Sandra Reardon says
Could you use oats or on plan readcrumbs6 in this receipe
Teresia says
Hi Sandra. I’m sorry but I haven’t tested those but this is a low carb, THM S recipe so a carb source like oats would not fit in those settings. Hope this helps.
Suzanne says
How many carbs in a serving?
Teresia says
I’m slowly getting all my recipes updated with that info, but don’t have that one done yet. 🙂
Anita says
Amazing!!! Just what we needed for a special addition to Christmas breakfast.
Julie says
I’m looking for the original recipe in the video, can you link to it please? It doesn’t appear to use the biscuit mix in the video and it used refined coconut oil sweetener etc
Teresia says
Hi Julie! In the video, we make a batch of biscuit mix and pull 1 cup out of it to make the sausage balls. We were sure whether to label it or not, it’s so hard to tell what route to go in a video for a two-part recipe like that. Sorry for the confusion.
Marcia says
Has the coconut oil been added to the one cup of baking mix that is in the sausage ball recipe?
Teresia says
Yes you add the coconut oil into the biscuit mix and use that mix to make these sausage balls. Hope this helps. 🙂
LaJuan says
How many carbs in these “Low Carb” Sausage balls????
Teresia says
Hi LaJuan!
I’ve only recently started adding the nutritional values to the recipes.
All of my recipes that are labeled as low carb are a combination of only low carb ingredients, making the dish itself, low carb.
I rarely label recipes as KETO because I know some of you have to keep strict count. I do realize I’m getting more of those followers so I’m slowly getting them all these recipes updated.

HI
This recipe looks good for packed lunches.
This may seem a silly question, but what is hot sausage? From the video it looks like minced meat that has spices.
From UK and we don’t get hot sausage here.
Many thanks for your great recipes
Best wishes
Kate
Teresia says
I probably do need to explain that more Kate. It is a ground pork sausage (also called pan sausage) that we find in the refrigerated section alongside the bacon. The “hot sausage” has been seasoned with cayenne pepper or other hot seasonings. If you have any ground pork or even highly seasoned ground beef you can just add seasonings and mix it right in with the other ingredients in this recipe.
These are great fresh out of the oven but just keep getting better and better so yes they’d work great for packed lunches. Hope this helps. 🙂
Kristina says
Is there a recipe (with measurements) for the biscuit mix? I don’t have a lot of baking blend on hand and I’d just like to make the cup of mix that is needed for the recipe.
Teresia says
Hi Kristina! Just cut the biscuit mix in half. This will leave you with only a couple tablespoons left over when you’re done making the sausage balls.
You can save those spoon fulls for the next batch of biscuit mix you make, it stores well and keeps a LONG time.
I think you’ll be sold on this mix after you try these sausage balls and the Melt in Your Mouth Biscuits that you can make with that mix will… well, Melt in Your Mouth says it all! 🙂

Growing up, sausage balls were one of those treats that we only had on holidays or special occasions! I’m not sure why only then?! 🤔 We never made them with cream cheese, however, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from these. They’re DELICIOUS! I’m so glad I finally tried them and THANK YOU for yet another amazing recipe and remake of an old favorite!
Teresia says
I’m so glad you enjoyed them Christy and thanks so much for letting me know, I love to hear that these recipes are a help to people! 🙂 <3
Suzanne says
Hi Teresia,
Amazingly delicious! These are wonderful for an appetizer! Freeze wonderfully! Made the “Bisquick” and have it ready for more recipes!
Thanks again for good recipes!
Vanessa Brown says
I don’t have the appliance you used to mix the biscuit mix and coconut, can I do the biscuit mix without the coconut and mix it by hand with the other ingredients? I will definitely substitute the hot sausage with sweet sausage because I don’t like anything hot. Would love to make these sausage balls.
Teresia says
You certainly can do it that way Vanessa. In fact, I tend to make mine without the refined coconut oil these days and just add the coconut oil in as needed. I find that some recipes (like the sausage balls don’t really need more fat unless you sausage is low fat). Other recipes, like the biscuits definitely do need the extra fat.
