1 cup unsweetened almond milk

3 tablespoons high quality cottage cheese (I use Daisy brand in my smoothies)

2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

1/2 teaspoon root beer flavoring (I use Watkins brand from Wal-Mart and love it)

2-3  tablespoons Gentle Sweetener 1-3 tablespoons Truvia or Pyure

(either of these should work great)

Optional 1/4 tsp molasses (gives a creamy flavor and a little more Southern Root Beer umph!) On plan in tiny amounts

14 ice cubes

1/2 scoop Pristine Whey Protein THM whey protein powder (or other on plan protein powder)

Super fizzy mineral water or other carbonated water- the brand I used is in the picture below.


Put all ingredients except the mineral water into a high-powered blender and blend.

Pour the shake into glasses filled 3/4 full and carefully top the drink off(not all the way) with the mineral water.  Doesn't take much for a really fizzy reaction.
