In our area, restaurants serve a wonderful guacamole dish, prepared at your table.
This Authentic Guacamole Live THM S Low Carb tastes very close to the restaurant version that we enjoy so much!
Now you can enjoy it at home with your favorite people.
My favorite way to serve guacamole is as a generously applied condiment in a low carb (THM S) meal or snack.
Remember Trim Healthy Mamas! Avocados are always an S and are full of healthy fats.
Avocados do contain some carbs also though so just keep your portions fairly small, and enjoy these with low carb options like nonstarchy veggie sticks if you need to eat them as a dip.
As some of you may know my husband was born and raised in Houston’s East End. He was eating authentic Mexican food in the homes and restaurants in that area long before it became mainstream.
I never post a Mexican food recipe without getting his approval and encouragement. Here are a few of them:
Queso Dip – S (low carb)
Fresh Salsa – FP (low fat/low carb)
How to Make Low Carb Enchilada Gravy – S (low carb)
Skillet Enchiladas in Chili Gravy – S (low carb)
On the one hand, this recipe could not be simpler but the success of a good guacamole depends as much on knowing when and how much to season as it does what to use to season.
Although I love cilantro and accept that it has a place in a guacamole like this one I have to leave it out when I make it at home. My husband can’t seem to acquire the taste for it. I’m supposing it’s genetic since my son also feels the same way and they both love Mexican food.
